in case of any emergency.The aims and objectives of Fire Stations in Guntur have
been furnished below.
- Respond at the earliest to fire calls and emergencies such as earth quakes and floods.
- Inspect and then issue No Objection Certificates for places prone to fire
hazards.
- Train security personnel with basic fire prevention skills.
- Create public awareness on fire prevention and fire safety measures, conduct fire
drills, train people on fire fighting.
- Provide fire safety for a nominal charge at large gatherings, provide ambulance
for the sick and injured, rescue persons during an emergency.
- Improve fire services, rescue skills of fire personnel, saving people and property
from fire and strive for professional excellence.
- To provide standby fire-safety arrangements at large gatherings by charging a nominal
amount.
- To provide the ambulance service for rushing the sick and the injured to hospitals
at a nominal charge.
- Basic Fire Prevention training to security personnel at Fire Hazardous places.
- Strive to save life and property by going promptly to the spot of fire.

- Fire vehicle standby can be requested by any citizen for private functions. Standby
will be provided on payment of standby charges as per government rules from time
to time subject to availability of fire vehicle.
- The Fire vehicle standby can be withdrawn if there is any fire call else where.
- As per HOME(PRISONS.A) DEPARTMENT, Rc.No.10818/B2/2010, dated 15-07-2010, the Hire
charges for Standby duties and private pumping work etc. are as follows.
